Airtight and vapor-retardant film
Soudatight SP is a high-quality water-based polymer paste that forms a seamless air and vapor-tight elastic membrane after drying.
Properties:
- Forms a seamless membrane
- Very good adhesion to many porous materials
- Good adhesion to slightly damp substrates
- Good adhesion to slightly dusty substrates
- Can be painted over, plastered or bonded after drying
- Very low-emission EC1+, for a healthy indoor climate
Application:
For airtight, vapor-barrier seals and radon-safe seals:
- Wall-floor connections
- Wall-ceiling connections
- Wall-to-wall connections
- Surfaces (no roof applications)
- Timber stud construction
- Window connections: in the inner shell (reveal area)

Instructions:
Ensure that Soudatight SP is at room temperature before use. Shake or mix the can well before use. Soudatight SP is applied directly from the pack onto the substrate using an airless or air-assisted spray gun. The choice of sprayer, pressure, gun and spray attachment depends on the application. Contact Soudal for further individual information. Apply the airtight paste undiluted and evenly to the substrate in several layers (at least 2) with a layer thickness of at least 1 mm and a maximum of 3 mm. To achieve the best possible coverage, apply a second coat of the product at a different angle. It is recommended to apply a second coat only after a skin has formed on the first coat. The application thickness must be measured with a wet film comb (wet). When applying to windows, ensure that the air sealing paste forms a seamless membrane of at least 3 mm on the window frame over the flexible foam up to approx. 5 cm above the side of the shell facing the sun. The use of masking tape (on the window frame) is recommended. However, this should be removed shortly after the application of Soudatight SP, before it hardens. For wall joints, ensure that the air sealing paste forms a seamless membrane of approx. 15 cm over both surfaces. Please refer to the technical data sheet.
