Silicone paint Atlas Salta is highly resistant to fading, UV rays action and soiling. The use of pigments of the newest generation and advanced manufacturing technology as well as pigment dosing control provide the paint with very good utilisation properties and, above all, façade colour durability.
The main characteristics
- outstanding colour durability;
- well coating;
- highly resistant to dirt;
- does not require a primer;
- low absorptiveness;
- 400 colors (SAH palette).
Use
- Wide range of painted buildings: residential (detached and multi – family), public access, outhouses, industrial, etc.
- Used as decorative and protective coat also for surfaces subject to high thermal and utilization loads;
- Recommended for fresh renders (enables painting thin-coat mineral renders after 5 days since their application).
Types of painted substrates
- cement plasters;
- cement-lime plasters;
- thin-coat mineral and dispersion renders;
- gypsum plasters and finishing coats;
- plasterboards;
- rough walls of concrete;
- bricks, blocks and ceramic or silicate hollow bricks.
Properties
Bio-Protection: creates unfavorable conditions for fungi and algae growth due to low water absorption and acid-alkaline reaction.
Pearl-Effect: water absorptivity reduced to minimum – the advanced technology based on silicone dispersion effectively protects the painted wall against soaking.
Forms surface resistant to dirt adhesion: the paint coat is uniquely compact, microscopically smooth, therefore the dirt particles and fungi spores easily lose contact and are naturally removed with rain and wind.
Environmentally friendly: by our concern for the natural environment the paint recipe is based on natural fillers only with maximum volatile compounds content reduction.
Does not require a primer: the first paint coat primes the substrate (refers to fresh renders).
Vapour permeable: the paint surface forms microscopic, so called “breathing”, structure, providing free transfer of water vapour through the painted partition
Elasticity: high resistance to cracks and scratches due to compensation of strains resulting from different thermal expansion of the substrate layers.
Stable in use: resistance to weathering, changeable atmospheric conditions and aggressive elements contained by the substrate and the natural environment, reached due to binders combination – the paint combines the advantages of silicate and dispersion paints, high elasticity, perfect vapour permeability, low absorptiveness and resistance to abrasion.
Easy arrangement: the palette of 400 popular colours, in accordance to Renders and Paints SAH Colour Scheme.
Application in lowered temperatures (from 0°C) and high humidity (up to ca. 80%): after adding Atlas Eskimo agent
Consumption
ca. 1 l of paint for ca. 7-8 m² (on smooth surfaces)
Consumption depends on, i. e. substrate absorptiveness and painted surface structure. It is recommended to determine the exact consumption basing on a sample. The approximate standard consumption for one coat painting of renders and plasters is listed in the table below:
Render/plaster type | Consumption for 1 m2 | Consumption of 1l |
Mineral (e.g. Cermit SN, DR, SN-MAL, ND and ND for painting) | ca. 0.25 l | ca. 4.0 m2 |
Dispersion (e.g. Cermit N & R SAH renders) | ca. 0.20 l | ca. 5.0 m2 |
Traditional (e.g. Atlas Plastering Mix) | ca. 0.15 l | ca. 7.0÷8.0 m2 |
